Hairy Creature Speakers designed by studio Tord Boontje, with soundscape from manabu shimada The combination of sound and light, as with the fusion of music and spotlights on a stage, evokes feelings of excitement. For all of us, light and sound serves both a functional and emotional purpose This exhibition features a 12.2ch soundscape, exclusively composed by sonic artist manabu shimada, and played using the 14 speakers from the 18th – 20th November.

The composition consists of two parts, a musique concrète soundscape using Yamaha field recordings, and a postmodern minimal music for piano and string quartet, inspired by the material of Hairy Creature Speakers
